WEDDING LOCATION
The ceremony and reception will both be held on our friends’ working farm, The Pasture. The farm is located in Cummings, ND, approximately 35 minutes from Grand Forks, and 55 minutes from Fargo.
Hotels

Our venue (The Pasture ND) is about a 35-minute drive from Grand Forks. If you’re looking for the perfect stay at a hotel, here are some of our recommendations:
- BOUGIE LUXURY
Olive Ann Hotel – In the heart of downtown and within walking distance to everything. And it’s, like, so pretty. - FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT
CanadInn – If you have littles, Splashers of the South Seas waterpark comes free for all guests. - VALUE
Hampton Inn & Suites – It’s clean, and spiffy, and on the retail side of town so if you like shopping centers, pick me. - CLOSEST TO OUR VENUE
Hillsboro Inn – We have it on good authority that they keep this place neat and tidy and ready for guests. There’s no website, though, so you’ll have to give them a jingle.
Campgrounds or RV-ing

If you’d prefer some s’mores over the fire pit and sleeping on the cold, hard ground, hey… we admire the grit and definitely don’t think there’s anything wrong with you. And we’re here to give you some recommendations, too:
- BOUGIE CAMPSITE
Red River State Recreation Area – In the heart of downtown. Yes, seriously. It’s located right along the Greenway – a 21-mile river path and it feels like you’re deep in nature… even though you’ll be within walking distance of a movie theatre. - HIKER’S HAVEN
Turtle River State Park – sure, this’ll add on to your venue drive just a hair, but the scenic bridges, quiet forests, and natural prairie grasslands are worth it. Plus, it’s where we became exclusive boyfriend and girlfriend, so you’ll sort of be in camping in our love story. - CLOSEST TO OUR VENUE
Hillsboro Campground (and Laundromat?) – What can we say? Small towns have character and you probably need clean clothes. It’s just 18 minutes away from our venue. - GOLFER’S PARADISE
Larimore Dam Campground – if you want one of the most peaceful golf courses right next to the nearest “beach” in Grand Forks County, this is the gem for you. It’s also right down the road from Turtle River State Park. - ONSITE DELIGHT
The amazing owners of The Pasture ND have said you can bring your own RV onsite, if you’d like. There’s no hookups, but you’ll be comfy and won’t have to drive after the pahr-tay. Email or call me if you want to do this because advance notice is required.

A FEW OF BEN’S
FAVORITE THINGS
Town Square Farmer’s Market
Every Saturday morning from 9-1 in Grand Forks’s Town Square, you’ll find tons of amazing food trucks, craft vendors, and live music. It’s our favorite way to spend a Saturday morning.
Sertoma park
Ben’s favorite of the 39 parks in Grand Forks. A Japanese sculpture garden gifted by our sister city, Awano Japan, takes center stage amidst sprawling trails and an accessible playground.
Darcy’s Cafe
If Ben didn’t choose this as a fave, Becca would have. The best pancakes you’ve ever eaten (try the cinnamon roll or lemon blueberry) in a tiny diner. It’s worth the inevitable wait for a seat, we promise.
The Greenway
21 miles of paved path along the Red River. With 3 times the green space of NY’s Central Park, the Greenway rocks! Plus, you can rent kayaks at Boathouse on the Red for $10.

FAVORITE THINGS
Northern air action park
Arcades, go-karts, axe throwing – oh my! Becca’s nieces and nephews love this place. An indoor trampoline park, VR games, and laser tag arena make it fun for kids and adults alike.
TOASTED FROG
Grand Forks’s signature dish, featured on the Food Network multiple times? Fried cheesy pickles. We know it sounds gross, but they are somehow delicious. The Frog is 21+ so if you’re looking for a family-friendly fave, check out Bernie’s. Cookie salad anyone?
Turtle River State Park
We became an official exclusive couple after a day on the trails at Turtle River State Park. Miles of gorgeous forested trails, prairie grasslands, and rivers to walk or fish in. They also have nature programs most weekends.
Flippin’ happy & midtown marketplace
Avid art, vintage, and thrift store enthusiasts will love these local maker and artist cooperative stores with gorgeous handmade goods, sweet treats, and vintage finds.
